Chasing a dream

My dreams are coming true.

It seems too big of a pronouncement, but I can say that it is true. Yesterday, the first chapter of my novel came out online. I, together with my online publisher and editor, have been working on it since the start of the year, and now, it's finally out.

I think writing a book is every writer's dream. My novel is not yet a book--it is going to be published as a serialized piece online--but I am hopeful it will be. I want it to. I want my friends to be able to hold a solid book. I want them to read my novel while waiting in the doctor's office or lounging around at home on a rainy afternoon. And as for me, I want to hold a solid, tangible proof that I have indeed fulfilled a goal.

This website is another proof of a dream coming true. Last Saturday, I attended The Clever Filipina's Blog For Money workshop. That workshop pushed me to finally get my own domain name and build my own website. I've been blogging for years already, and it's high time that I have my own online lair.

I have a lot of ideas for this website, and I have a lot of projects that I can't wait to do. I can't say a lot about them right now, but I am excited. As one saying goes, do what excites and scares you at the same time. This is it.

This is my time to shine.
